Travel Time at Last!!??

After 3 years and 8 months of waiting, we are getting very close to bringing Brianna home. Our adoption journey started in October 2005. That's when Danny and I decided we wanted to adopt and started the process. At the time, we thought we'd have our daughter home within the year. We had no idea how long our wait would really be. Our paperwork was sent to China on February 10, 2006 and we were logged in LID March 8, 2006. On April 6, 2009 we got the wonderful call we've been waiting for. We had a daughter!! Her name is Fu Yan Xiang and she's in the Fuzhou City SWI in Jianxi, China. Her birth date is March 20, 2008. (Another March birthday-now we all have March birthdays)

We thought we'd be traveling in 6-7 weeks, but the swine flu hit and delayed our travel a little. The good news is that we are set to travel on June 4th now. We still don't know how long we need to be in the baby's province because it usually takes 5 days to get the baby's passport, but our agency thinks it might take 8 days in June, so they aren't sure when we'll be traveling home yet. Of course, I was very nervous about this because we need to buy our tickets so we decided to get our tickets for the latest date we would be coming home. We were told we'd be coming home either June 18th or June 21st. We booked our tickets for June 4th and coming home June 21st. We decided to stay in Hong Kong for a few days if we don't need to stay the extra days in the province. I'm actually hoping we get the few extra days in Hong Kong. I'm just praying our agency doesn't come back and tell us they need to change the days. I can't wait to just get there and bring her home. Our Gotcha Day is scheduled for Monday, June 8th, but I heard that sometimes they surprise you and Gotcha Day is a day earlier.
